Our sweet niece, @abrandt1026, suggested we do brunch. It would have been easy to pick a restaurant, but Big Guy and I opted to cook from scratch in @carondeletkitchen.
Big Guy was very excited to try a biscuits and gravy recipe he discovered online. He hit a home run with the delicious food accompanied by fluffy eggs and sausage links. I added scones and shortbread so we could round out our savory meal with delightful sweets. I am sure there is no surprise that we had leftovers which I will look forward to having again in the next few days. I know, poor me!
