I do not know about the rest of you, but I am OVER summer! My happy feet started to dance when I realized college football was starting, which meant it was time to make my annual chili.
I opted to do a meatless chili which was my go-to version from the start. I hope you noticed I said meatless since my use of the phrase vegetarian chili caused “silly” people to skip over it at previous cookouts. I have certainly been “schooled” that people in Missouri love meat in their chili! The most important thing to me is to enjoy your chili, with or without meat, and get creative with your enhancements such as noodles, @fritolay, or cheese. Oh, and do not forget to cheer loudly for your favorite football team! Go Irish!
