Is there anything more decadent than a baked brie paired with a lovely bottle of wine? How about two baked brie?
Big Guy and I could not decide which brie to make for @abrandt1026 for our weekly get together, so I suggested I make one of each. The first, requested by my Big Guy, is my homage to an appetizer we used to get at Once Upon a Vine which was sweeter as I made it with brown sugar and pecans. I wanted something fruitier to compliment the summer heat, so the second brie included pecans and apricot jam. I learned, thanks to @nataliejhiggins, to use @pilsbury crescent roll dough to wrap the brie and its ingredients snuggly into a beautiful package. The best part is the crescent dough can double as the “bread” to enjoy the brie. Genius!
