BBT

I am in awe of the number of heirloom tomatoes we harvested from only two plants. We have been sharing with neighbors and family with plenty for us.

We decided to make use of our tomatoes by making BLT’s, but in our usual fashion, adding an @carondeletkitchen twist. I admit the twist was due to the recent issues with lettuce, so we decided to double up on basil and make BBT’s.

We often used basil in the mayo to give our sandwiches an extra zing, but I admit doubling the basil up as our “lettuce” along with the enhanced mayo packed a delicious punch! I am so happy right now!
