St. Louis was alive with activity on this day of love. The biggest event was the Soulard Mardi Gras Bud Light Grand Parade. I know the event was well attended, which included some of my cousins, but I admit Big Guy and I were happy to be passing by during the rainstorm heading to our event of choice.
We decided to meet our beautiful niece, @abrandt1026, and her daughter at the St. Louis Birthday Bash hosted by @mohistorymuseum. We walked into the museum to outstanding music performed by @redandblackbrassband which certainly put us in the mood for a party. We were given fleur de lis beads to wear and then we danced around the main hall before joining the crowd, including Patriot the Bald Eagle from @worldbirdsanctuary, in a rousing version of Happy Birthday to our grand city! We ended our time by shopping the local makers on hand including @mrfreshglobal who blew us away with his story of being a “kid” CEO. Well done, young man! Sold on St. Louis, the museum’s gift shop, was also a required stop thanks to their excellent selection of local products. Hats off @mohistorymuseum for a magnificent event where you promised a “celebration that’s LOUD, PROUD, and all about the LOU! I am looking forward to next year!
