Joys of Fall

I love that Saint Louis comes alive in the Fall with festivals, markets, and special activities for the family. We have managed to attend a couple enjoying the spirit of the community and supporting our outstanding makers.

The one activity that brought me the most joy was attending the Kid’s Fall Fun Zone @thesummitallseasonmarket in Kirkwood. We met up with @abrandt1026 and her beautiful daughter to enjoy a day that will certainly remain in my memory.

I was struck by the absolute joy our great niece had just living in the moment. She loved the million-kernel corn pool and the spider web swings.

The best part was being reminded to get back outside and enjoy the world around me. I put down my phone, except to take pictures, and let others get caught up in the news while I enjoyed the giggles of amazement and the simple play of discovering that it is a wonderful place to a child still unblemished by the bigger world. Mic drop!
