I am always excited to visit @mobotgarden to seek out new inspiration for both @carondeletkitchen and @carondeletgarden. Big Guy, thank goodness, is equally excited even though it usually involves a trip to @greenscapegardens_stl for supplies.
Our recent trip was not only inspirational, but one of joy. It was a fun day with our niece, @abrandt1026, and her daughter. We watched, and laughed, as our dynamic two-year-old great niece ran through out the garden seeking rocks and water to be part of her play. We also got to see the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden. We toured this wonderful part of the garden when it first opened in 2006, but not having little ones in our life for a brief time, have not been back often to see what time and hard work have created in this oasis for children. We ended our fun at the fountain where children of all ages were enjoying the cool water on a warm day. It was more pure joy to see it through the eyes of a child!
