I love this time in my life when I can slow down and learn new things. The work Big Guy has put into @carondeletgarden has been nothing short of miraculous. I know it feeds his mind, body, and spirit.
I feel the same way, but I would add my joy in creating interesting meals from the fruits of his labor in the garden. He has planted fall lettuce, and the garlic and onions will be planted soon to winter over into next year. My surprise, and moment of learning something new, was seeing a fall harvest of raspberries. I am excited to use them not only as a topping for my waffles, but to once again make triple berry muffins. One final gift of summer to ease our transition to the cooler days of Fall.
