THE BLUE DUCK

Big Guy and I were out running errands, so we decided we needed to include lunch out as our reward for working so hard. We were headed toward the Maplewood area, so we opted to revisit a new favorite restaurant, @blueduckstl. We were introduced to this restaurant by our friends @nataliejhiggins who also enjoy stopping by on their date nights when the kids are hanging with their grandparents.

You order your food at the front of the restaurant, and we created a bit of a roadblock because we could not decide on what to order as everything sounded amazing. Fortunately, by the smile on everyone’s faces, this happens daily, so we tucked into the corner until we were ready to order. I finally opted for the breakfast burrito and Big Guy got the biscuits and gravy with a side of fried chicken. I am sure I do not have to tell you we did share our meals with mutual exclamations of happiness at the flavors.

The food and service were outstanding with a generous portion on the plates. We will definitely add this wonderful restaurant to our usual rotation!
