Big Guy and I added whimsy to @carondeletgarden last year by adding cute houses and hedgehogs to our alpine garden. It was adorable until our new puppy discovered it and started to hide the hedgehogs all over the garden. We make the proper decision to pull them up and store them as we worried that one time the “monster” would not only destroy the village but also start eating them!
We started thinking this year about recreating our little village, but somewhere safe from the puppy. We realized we had the perfect spot in our prayer garden on the side of the house. Now, we have our secret garden where the hedgehogs can be safe but enjoyed each time we work around the house.
