Big Guy and I decided to head across the river and do some day tripping to another antique mall. We hit the jackpot with a fun new cookbook. Well, not new in age, but new to us.
The title of this book was Best Recipes from the Backs of Boxes, Bottles, Cans and Jars by Ceil Dyer. As I am always inspired by product recipes, I had to buy the book. I would not be the “queen” of the apple pie without the basic recipe from Keebler’s graham cracker pie crust. As I flipped through the book I was struck by the thoroughness of the recipes. It is quite obvious to me the product makers truly spend time with chefs and home cooks to share recipes that really made their products shine. This book just made me smile and I am looking forward to trying some of the recipes.
