I can confirm I must be an adult now that I am willing to try fruits and vegetables outside my wheelhouse. Asparagus was my first foray into the unknown and I fell in love with it.
Big Guy decided he wanted to plant asparagus in our Carondelet Garden last year. Big Guy was smart to buy one year old plants so we will be ready to harvest this year. I am excited to try it fresh from the garden. In the interim, I will settle for it from my favorite purveyor. I bought one bunch and used it recently in pasta. Next up, I will add it to a salad followed by the last of it being grilled for a side dish. I just appreciate that one bunch can contribute to more than one meal!
