I know I have mentioned Big Guy knows how to cook. I am being honest when I say he is a better baker than me as he is very methodical and follows recipes to the letter.
He loves my passion for cooking, so he is fine with me taking over the kitchen unless I ask him to prepare one of his special meals. We were planning another decadent Sunday, so Big Guy was on call to make his breakfast casserole. This is one time he does not need a recipe because he loves the challenges of utilizing what we have in the house. He started the casserole by layering tater tots on the bottom and sides of the baking dish. As that was cooking, he grabbed a package of Stonie’s smoked apple maple sausage and sautéed it in a pan. Once the tater tots cooked, he added the sausage, eggs, half and half, gouda cheese and baked it to perfection. The perfect start to another beautiful day in Saint Louis.
