Blast From the Past!

Tis the season to get LOTS of catalogs!  Our poor mail person is getting quite a workout!

I have always enjoyed looking at these catalogs to see what new items were being offered for the season.  To my surprise and delight, I received a Swiss Colony catalog.  I didn’t realize until I opened the catalog that the products they were offering were directly from my childhood. 

My parents would order a box every year at Christmas for the family to enjoy.  I remember rushing to open the box with my brother as we quickly made decisions on who would get the summer sausage or the brick cheese.  My mom always gravitated toward the petits fours while my dad would grab the ham.  We knew Christmas as not too far away once this great gift arrived in our house!

Big Guy and I are really enjoying this walk down memory lane.  Our hope, to be different, is to eat the entire box during the season without leaving anything behind.  After all, who wants to look at the one lonely cheese in the drawer in January!
