Bumbershoot Aerial Arts

The most iconic song, for me, from Peter Pan is “You Can Fly!” As a child, I remember watching the movie and wishing I could join Wendy, John, and Michael on their flight with Peter Pan.

I was reminded of this song when we took our goddaughters to Bumbershoot Aerial Arts for lessons in silks. To watch them climb and twirl was magic, but the smiles on their faces were priceless.

I know my old bones would object to trying this circus art, but I feel myself soaring again watching these lessons. Mackenzie, the instructor, is fantastic with her pupils and has certainly become the Peter Pan of this troop of increasingly confident young woman. Awesome!
