Do you ever open your liquor cabinet to see numerous bottles used for only one recipe or one cocktail? We had dear friends who gave us six crates of bottles when they moved thinking we could come up with recipes for their selection of unusual liquors. We did our best, but some bottles were either undrinkable or not to our liking despite our friends attempting to put together some recipes.
After that experience, Big Guy and I swore we would never accumulate too many bottles without using them. To help us keep this goal, Big Guy found Phillip Greene’s book, “Cheers! Cocktails to Celebrate Every Day of the Year.” I am excited to read through this book and create new recipes using liquor. I am only fearful of the need to buy additional ingredients creating more bottles than less in my cabinet. If I drink enough, perhaps I will not care too much! (Insert an evil laugh at this stage!)
