Crock Pot Heaven

Ah, January is here, and life has slowed down a little in the Carondelet Kitchen.  No more canning and gardening. Plenty of soups in the freezer. 

I know winter is not a favorite for many people but I long for the perfect snow day with the fire roaring and a good glass of wine.  It seems that the busyness of life switches over to extra time to read a book or watch a movie without feeling the need to do anything else.

The best part for me is knowing I can pull out my crockpot and reheat the bounty of my work from the Fall.  Just add a good crusty bread and a salad and you have the perfect meal!
