I decided to try a new pie based on Ina Garten’s new show, Be My Guest. She was hosting Norah Jones and made her a chocolate pecan bourbon pie. Just those three ingredients had me hooked and I had most of the ingredients already in my pantry.
The simplicity really sold me. You mixed the dry and wet ingredients together with a spatula and poured it into a store-bought pie crust. Thirty-five minutes later you had a delicious pie which looked like it took hours to make. My boy kept insisting I put a topping on the pie the whole time he woofed down two pieces. I still have a smile on my face!
