Fish Fry Friday!

Is there anything more St. Louis than a fish fry during Lent? I find it most interesting that I used to shy away from fish fries thanks to a bad experience with fish in of all places…Florida.

Big Guy finally convinced me to try a fish fry about fifteen years ago with the promise I could get spaghetti. I broke down when I realized shrimp was part of the menu and now I cannot get enough. We look forward to visiting fish fries every year as it is a much-anticipated treat and a marker of the season.

We are lucky in Carondelet to have so many great fish fries, but our favorite is @ststephenstl. I appreciate the work that goes into making it a fantastic event from the delicious food to the 50/50 raffle where I have relearned my state capitals!
