flowers in the kitchen

Big Guy and I love flowers.  In fact, we tend to have fresh flowers in the house all year round.  The fun of the holidays is seeing the flowers that we don’t get to see every month.

For example, my beautiful poinsettia given to me for my birthday.  The red and green foliage screamed the holidays were on the horizon and I should start to decorate my house.  Now, as it continues to grow, it is a wonderful remembrance of a lovely holiday season.

The amaryllis is another plant that I have returned to this year.  My appreciation to Holland Bulb Farms for selling these outstanding showstoppers.  I love that it will dress up the house in the bleak winter months but will also be something I can transplant to my garden in the spring.

I encourage you to buy a bouquet the next time you are at the store.  The cost is minimal to the joy it brings to your home.
