I have never been shy about loving a good dip. As Big Guy and I started to look through recipes preparing for Thanksgiving, he came across an old favorite…fried onion dip. Yes, please!
I took inspiration from @amyrosethielen and riffed off her recipe so we had some snack food while cooking all week. She called for clarified butter and vermouth as part of her ingredient list. Honestly, I did not have vermouth, or dry white wine, and I was NOT going to the store again! I started to clarify my butter, but my onions from @carondeletgarden, looked so happy dancing in the butter that I left well enough alone. I added a dash of honey and garlic to finish them off. I set the hot pan aside to mix my cream cheese and sour cream. One the pan cooled; I added the two mixes together for the perfect dip WHICH gets better the next day. Yum!
