There are some things in life that have always been part of my life. Until her death, I knew no other queen than Her majesty Queen Elizabeth. I also remember the day Pope John Paul II passed as he was the primary head of the Catholic Church from my late childhood into early adulthood.
The one thing that has been around my entire life is Girl Scout Cookies. I look forward to the annual sale of cookies with great anticipation, so you know that I NEVER giveup cookies for Lent. Poor Big Guy has gotten used to saving room in the freezer for Thins Mints! The irony is growing up I did not have a girl scout troop in my little town in Michigan. I was a Campfire Girl and we sold candy. UGH! I vividly remember going door to door begging people to buy the last box of candy so I could go home. Watching the sales model today of young girl scouts, I wish I could have set up shop at the grocery store or the local church fish fry with my mother backing me up on sales. Talk about guaranteeing a great day of sold cookies and an early supper!
