Big Guy planted his sweet candy onions again this year. They were very successful last year and were one of the stars in our marinara sauce.
We watched the onions grow from week to week until we noticed the tops were starting to lean over telling us it was time to harvest. We were a little disappointed in the size, but we are confident the taste will still be fantastic. Big Guy has them tied up and drying, so I am back to my recipe books with anticipation of how the onions will enhance my summer meals.
