Cooking has really become an important part of our household especially during the pandemic. I stopped looking at my cookbook collection and really started to open them and dream about the next great dinner. This past weekend, Big Guy and I checked out Bellerive Day. For the uninitiated, it is a neighborhood yard sale. As we stopped by the Methodist Church, my eyes spied old cookbooks. I gravitated toward them and was at once drawn into two of them. There were notes in the margins and one was being held together by duct tape. I didn’t care they were old and beaten up as I knew they had to come home with me. I will love these books as much as their previous owners. I hope someday someone will get the same joy from getting a book from my collection.
