Big Guy and my bonus son LOVE pumpkin pie. I was determined to try and do a twist on it as it seems most pies you see are one-dimensional, bland, and uninspired. I remembered tucking a recipe in my notebook from many years ago. I vaguely remembered the pie was awesome and decided to give it another try. The primary ingredients are Jell-O, Ready Crust, Pumpkin, and Cool Whip. I sure you won’t be surprised if I tell you the recipe was sponsored by Jell-O, Ready Crust and Cool Whip since these are the stars of the pie that elevate the pumpkin to a whole new level. Instead of a flat looking pie, you build layers which adds flavors to the pumpkin itself. The first layer is cream cheese, milk, sugar, and Cool Whip. The next layer is milk, pumpkin, and vanilla pudding. The final touch is a dollop of Cool Whip for decoration. In the end, you are rewarded with a pie that is creamy and easy to make in less than 30 minutes. Chill it for three hours and you are ready to hear the oohs and aahs of satisfaction!
