I never realized I was part of a trend of women who enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles. In fact, I was doing them before COVID created a shortage of them all over the world. My “bubble” loved me since I had plenty of puzzles to share during the great pause. I have always enjoyed doing puzzles as a great way to calm the day and be mindful about a project with little stress. The bonus is I do learn things while doing them. I did the Betty Crocker cookbook puzzle and it focused me into getting one of the old cookbooks at Bellerive Days for my collection. Yes, I could have bought it new online but then I would miss the love of the cookbook with its special notes and duct tape binder! Food puzzles make me hungry, and the drink puzzles make me thirsty, but always inspire me to think about another fun meal to make in the Carondelet Kitchen. Whether you do the frame first, sort your pieces by size or just start in the middle, try doing a puzzle with your loved ones. Throw in a glass of wine and you have entertainment for the evening!
