I knew coming into my marriage that I would bring charming eating habits that were traditional to my family. What I did not know is they might be considered gross to others aka the Big Guy.
Do not fear I am not talking about eating some exotic food that less than 1 percent of the world indulges in as a delicacy. No, my love was adding ketchup to my eggs. Ok, I was adding ketchup to a lot of my food! The Big Guy tried to be tolerant in the beginning, but he finally realized I was attempting to add flavor to food that was not too flavorful from the family kitchen. The Big Guy made me eggs that were so fluffy and delicious I did not even think about grabbing the ketchup bottle. I do keep ketchup in the house, but I do not feel the need to grab it as much now that I have discovered the joys of so many other food options. BUT, on a day that I seek comfort food, I will get out the ketchup bottle and enjoy a bite of childhood.
