We used to travel to Florida yearly when my parents had their condominium to visit and relax. In our travels, we discovered a fabulous restaurant in Venice called The Crow’s Nest. While my focus at the restaurant was fresh seafood and a lovely wine, I was always convinced I had to save room for key lime pie.
I was always glad I followed the advice of my server since the pie was the perfect finish to every meal. As we traveled back to Missouri, Big Guy and I would continue to talk about the pie. One day I was wandering around the internet and decided to google the restaurant. To my delight, and amazement, the recipe for key lime pie was there. Eureka! It has become a favorite in our house. I have made minor changes, so here is my inspired recipe so you can enjoy this simple and delicious pie too!
