Looking for Inspiration

Do you ever get into a rut in your kitchen? I have noticed these past few months I keep reaching for the same ingredients for my meals. Or, egad, we go out to dinner, or we order in.

What happened? Obviously, we are getting back to our normal lives before COVID. We no longer must look to our pantries and freezers for our meals. I can certainly attest that my creativity has taken a break since our mandatory pause.

The good news is the weather is changing, Big Guy is already outside building his cold frame and raised beds, and I have started to dream again about cooking from the Carondelet Garden.

I hope you can find your inspiration to get back into the kitchen whether you dream about your garden or find the perfect recipe in one of your cookbooks. I can already see my enthusiasm returning to being creative in the Carondelet Kitchen.  As my Ina Garten spatula says it’s time to “Have fun!”
