MICROPLANE TO THE RESCUE!

Family and friends have advised me when doing a job to get the right tool and your work will be easy. I certainly know this to be true when doing tasks around the house from painting to fixing things.

I heard this same advice on a cooking show. I realized then I was starting to collect gadgets that do make my cooking environment safer and less stressful.

I pulled out my microplane zester to zest two lemons for a lemon drizzle cake. I was very thankful I had a right tool in my drawer. It not only zests easily, but it collected the zest in the channel of the microplane, so I did not have zest flying around my kitchen. The best part is the feel in your hand of the kitchen aid knowing you will not slice your fingers in the process!
