Big Guy and I use a lot of garlic in our recipes, so beware if you come to our house for dinner! While we are fine with our cloves from our local grocery store, there is nothing better than planting them and harvesting them out of your own garden.
The fascinating thing about garlic, for me, is you plant it in the Fall. It sounds crazy, but they just hang out there all winter and by late June, you may get a bumper crop of garlic. I promise you will never look at garlic the same once you eat it fresh from your garden.
