Oh, what fun!

Several years ago, Big Guy and I decided it was time to redo our kitchen.  Now, you must realize when we moved into our house, we had an old free standing farm kitchen sink.  And, no, not the cool ones you see today on HGTV.  The basics were covered if you were fine with a stove and refrigerator.  We lasted about a year when we opted on our meager salaries to do a small remodel to update the sink area to add a dishwasher and countertop.  It wasn’t much but we were happy to have our postage stamp sized area to prep our food.

As this was our starter home, we figured the next owners would deal with a major remodel.  Well, after 30 years we are THOSE people.  With fear and trepidation, we made the phone call, and the demolition began. The remodel is a story, but I am so happy with the outcome.
 
I will admit I look at pictures and get a little romantic about the old version of the kitchen in the respect I learned to cook in it.  If nothing else, it proves you can cook great food even if you don’t own a professional kitchen!
