Plants in the Kitchen

I was given a beautiful plant recently which needed a permanent pot. Big Guy has lots of pots in the basement for his Carondelet Garden, but I was wanting a statement pot to adorn my kitchen.

We recently went to the Christmas Extravaganza at the Hill Antique Market. My goal that evening was to look for unique Christmas presents for my family and friends. As is often the case, I managed to find something for me!

As we walked into the market, I noticed succulent plants in a variety of containers from cups to antique plant holders. The image of those plants came home to me when I found this adorable creamer cup. I knew in that moment that inspiration struck, and I had a new “home” for my plant.

I cleaned up the creamer cup as Big Guy got dirt to finish the planting process. I now have a fun addition to my kitchen which showcases my new plant.
