Porch Drinking

I can’t begin to tell you how often Big Guy and I have married the joy of porch sitting with a nice cocktail. We find it a great way to spend our happy hour along with a battle of whatever board game is on the table
.
We have also talked with so many people who pass by the house which was especially nice during the worst of the COVID lockdown since our porch is over 6 feet away from our sidewalk. It offered us the opportunity to not lose connection with people while continuing our vigilance for health and safety.

The best part is the spontaneous get togethers that would happen prior to COVID. It was always a great time when the neighbors came out and joined in the fun. It even happened one Fourth of July with all of us watching the illegal fireworks in the next block from our front porch.

So, here’s to a return to those nights with friends and neighbors. It is truly a great way to pass the time and create magical memories!
