San Marzano Tomato Soup

Big Guy has truly turned into a tomato whisperer with more pounds coming into the house. As we pondered another round of making marinara sauce, @twm2014as suggested we check out some San Marzano soup recipes. Brilliant! Thanks so much for the great suggestion!

The perfect day aligned with this suggestion as it was dreary and rainy which always puts me in the mood for a hearty soup. It was the perfect pantry soup in that the ingredients were already on hand so my only “shopping” was picking some ripe tomatoes. I plan to hold back one bag of frozen tomatoes so I can make this delicious soup again in the Fall!
