Can you believe the temperature was in the 70’s this week? We had to take advantage of it, so Big Guy headed out to work in the yard. The old gardener was anxious to turn over his beds and start dreaming about his summer crops.
As I watched him work, I decided to cook up a pot of spaghetti and meatballs with sauce made from our own garden. As I took the lid off the canned jar, I was instantly remembering our harvest of beautiful San Marzano tomatoes, onions, and garlic. Big Guy loves to tell everyone about the one batch of sauce we made last year with vegetables solely from our garden. I do not have to bet that he will plant these three things again so we can repeat our Carondelet Kitchen and Garden sauce!
