Summer Salads

I often tease the Big Guy that he has come a long way from our early days of marriage. He would NOT touch a salad finding them to be of little interest to his palate. Flash forward “mumble” years and he cannot get enough of them.

My fabulous neighbors gave us strawberry balsamic vinegar which I have been holding on to for strawberry season. It is finally here and the balsamic kicked up the flavor on my summer salad with fresh strawberries. The salad was even better knowing the lettuce and the sugar snow peas came from our Carondelet Garden.

Now I need my basil to come in so I can use that basil oil too! Thanks neighbors!
