super bowl!

I admit I was NOT a football fan as a kid. I would run into the other room if my dad and brother started to watch a game.

Big Guy and I were more into theater and the arts than athletics. Thanks to his booming voice, he was asked to announce football games at the high school where he worked for several years. I rode along to spend time with him, but to also assist him by being his spotter as he announced players and referee calls. We both suddenly understood the allure of the game.

We plan to watch the Super Bowl even though we prefer college football. Obviously, we are already planning on a big pot of chili and snacks to have during the entire run of the game. After all, the best part of the game is eating and visiting with family and friends. Yes, I figured that part out too!
