It was a beautiful Fall Day that also included an exciting soccer game starring, in our opinion, our chosen granddaughter. She may be petite, but she is a mighty warrior on the field.
We worked up a hunger watching the game, so Big Guy and I decided to continue our deli tour with a stop @momsdeli. Mom’s Deli has been around since 1977, but ask anyone who lives in the city, it seems to be in everyone’s forever memory! We got there early to avoid the line out the door and grabbed two favorites, one Mom’s Special and one Ron’s Special. Big Guy loves the Mom’s Special sandwich with its combination of turkey, ham, roast beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, and homemade Thousand Island dressing. I reliably order the Ron’s Special sandwich with hot cooked salami, pepper cheese, spicy mustard. It is consistently great every time we stop by, and the value cannot be beaten! We added some chips and soda to round out the meal that we ate at the picnic table outside. Perfect!
