Vase-A-Rama

Big Guy and I love to support our local makers. We recently visited @flowersandweeds on one of our daily outings. When we lived in Dutchtown, over thirty years ago, this location was known as Allen’s.

We were delighted with our decision to make a stop. The inside of the main building was inviting and beautifully decorated with a variety of plants that were all calling out for our attention. We bought pots, a new plant for the kitchen, and a flower bunch of sweet peas.

So, we were excited when we read, they were hosting a Vase-A-Rama highlighting local makers. The concept was simple…come in and buy a vase or buy a vase and add flowers. We were the recipients of a beautiful bowl from @cherokeestreetceramics thanks to @abrandt1026 as a Christmas present so we knew we had to check out the vases made by this talented artist.

Well, we bought a vase, and flowers, to dress up our cottage. Applause to everyone involved who created a special event to showcase the garden center and local talent!
